General Manager France (M/F) – Laboratory Research Equipment

Commercial subsidiary of an international group, initial 3 year mission, Rhône Alps

My client is a word-wide leader in this niche market and is committed to the highest quality standards and continual investment in research & development. The Company provides a range of products to scientific and medical organisations, both private and public. Customers include universities, research centers, pharmaceutical companies and laboratories.






The mission :
The General Manager (M/F) is the most senior executive in France, responsible for the management, organization, administration as well as the total profitability of this subsidiary.

Responsible for all functions, this role has a particular emphasis on sales, marketing and customer support as the activity in France is essentially commercial.

The key challenges over the next 3 years will be to mobilize the staff, soundly manage the business, empower and coach internal talent, consolidate company revenues and margins, and review the structure.

Given an increasingly competitive environment, it will also be a key responsibility to propose and implement effective marketing and sales strategies for the national market.


The profile :
You will be a sound general manager or business unit manager(at least 15 years in management), experienced in directing and controlling all aspects of the business.

You will possess demonstrated leadership and human resources management abilities, adapted to a medium sized operation.

This role requires expertise in marketing and sales, in-depth knowledge of conducting business on the French market and the ability to develop commercial strategies as well as manage client relations.

Candidates will ideally have worked in a large company in France supplying products to scientific and medical research laboratories, research centers and universities.

Fluency in the English language, as the working language of the Group, as well as French, the daily business language, is required.
